Bomb threat on Air India flight at Delhi Airport sparks major security scare

New Delhi: A bomb threat aboard an Air India flight at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport triggered a high-level security operation in the early hours of Friday. The scare began around
4 am when a crew member discovered a handwritten message on a piece of tissue paper claiming, “There is a bomb on the Air India flight.”

The discovery prompted immediate action by airport security and Air India authorities. The aircraft was evacuated, and a comprehensive search was conducted by bomb disposal squads and security personnel. Passengers were screened, and luggage was thoroughly checked as part of the emergency protocol.

\Following rigorous checks, no explosive device was found on board. Authorities later confirmed that the threat was a hoax. “A non-specific security alert was detected on one of our aircraft.
