AP Dhillon concert turns into heist: Fans lose over 50 phones, wallets during live show

Chandigarh: A live performance by popular singer AP Dhillon turned into a nightmare for many fans as thieves made away with over 50 mobile phones, including several high-end models like iPhones, during the event at Rally Ground, Sector 25. Some of the stolen devices, such as iPhone 13, 15, and 12 Pro Max, are valued at over Rs1 lakh each.
Despite the deployment of hundreds of police personnel to maintain security at the concert, the thefts occurred unnoticed amidst the crowd. Victims of the incident have lodged complaints both online and in writing, reporting not only the loss of mobile phones but also wallets and gold ornaments. Many concert-goers took to social media platforms like Twitter and Instagram to express their frustration and share their experiences.
This isn’t the first time such an incident has occurred in Chandigarh. During a previous concert by singer Diljit Dosanjh, around 150 phones were reported stolen under similar circumstances. Police are investigating the matter, but the lack of recovery in past incidents leaves victims sceptical about retrieving their belongings.
