Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding kickstarts with 'Samuh Vivah'

Mumbai:The Ambani family recently demonstrated their philanthropic spirit by initiating the wedding celebrations of their son, Anant Ambani, and Radhika Merchant with a 'Samuh Vivah' (mass wedding) for over 50 underprivileged couples from the Palghar region.

The event was held at the prestigious Reliance Corporate Park, attended by nearly 800 people, including the couples' families, local social workers, and community representatives.

Mukesh and Nita Ambani, along with their children Akash Ambani and his wife Shloka Mehta, and Isha Ambani and her husband Anand Piramal, opened the ceremony with traditional rituals and a heartfelt message of community service.

The Ambani family personally extended their blessings to each couple and as a token of goodwill, each couple received generous gifts to help them start their new lives together.

The brides were gifted gold ornaments, including Mangalsutra, wedding rings, and nose rings, as well as silver ornaments like toe rings and anklets. Each bride also received a cheque for Rs. 1.01 lakh as her 'streedhan,' representing her personal assets. Additionally, the couples were given essential groceries and household items for a year, along with appliances and bedding.

Following the wedding ceremony, a grand dinner was served, fostering a joyful and communal atmosphere. The cultural richness of the occasion was further highlighted by a traditional Tarpa Dance performed by the Warli Tribe.

Founder and Chairperson of Reliance Foundation, Nita Ambani, said, "I feel extremely happy seeing the newlywed couples here... I give my blessing to all these couples. The 'Shubh-lagna' ceremonies of Anant and Radhika begin today with today's mass wedding event." ANI
