Nine-year-old girl allegedly molested by radiographer during X-ray in Ambala

Ambala: A radiographer at the Civil Hospital in Ambala Cantonment was arrested on Wednesday on allegations of molesting a nine-year-old girl, police said.

According to the police, the child had gone to the hospital’s radiology department with her elder sister for a chest X-ray when the alleged incident took place inside the X-ray room.

After leaving the room, the girl informed her sister about what had happened. The sister then confronted the accused, leading to a commotion at the hospital, officials said.

Surender Sidhu, Station House Officer of the Cantonment police station, said a case has been registered and the accused has been taken into custody.

He added that the police have received information about similar allegations against the accused in the past and are in the process of verifying his previous record.
