Marriage proposals pour in for Abhijeet Dipke, but his mother's revelation changes the story

One protest changed the conversation around NEET, but it also seems to have unexpectedly turned its most recognisable face into a sought-after groom.
Days after the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) withdrew its protest over the alleged NEET paper leak following Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation, Abhijeet Dipke's mother, Anita Dipke, revealed that marriage proposals have been pouring in for her son from across the country.
Speaking to reporters in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar on Tuesday, Anita said the number of proposals shot up after Abhijeet's campaign received nationwide attention. However, she made it clear that marriage is not on his priority list.
According to her, Abhijeet has consistently maintained that he will marry only after completing his education and becoming financially independent.
She said proposals have been coming for nearly two years, but he has remained firm about first building his career.
Recalling a conversation with her son, Anita said Abhijeet told the family he wanted to earn on his own before getting married.
Even when she assured him that the family had enough money, he insisted on being financially self-reliant. She also said he has made it clear that he would not accept anything beyond clothes at the time of his wedding.
Anita further said Abhijeet had returned from Boston on June 6, 2026, to seek justice for students over the alleged NEET paper leak.
According to her, his primary demand was the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the alleged irregularities in the education system.
While every parent dreams of seeing their child settle down, Anita said the final decision will always be Abhijeet's.
For now, she added, the family is focused on his recovery after his health recently deteriorated, and she does not intend to discuss marriage with him for at least another month.
