Abetment of suicide case filed against two women following flatmate's death in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: Police have registered a case against two women on charges of abetment of suicide after their male flatmate was found dead at their rented apartment in the city.
The deceased has been identified as Vishnu CP (39), a native of Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, who had been working as a technician at a medical transcription firm in Bengaluru for over four years.
According to police, Vishnu was found dead by hanging inside the bathroom of the shared accommodation on November 7. No suicide note was recovered from the scene.
In a complaint lodged by Vishnu’s younger brother, it was alleged that he had a dispute with his two female flatmates, one of whom was reportedly in a relationship with him.
Based on the complaint, police have registered a case of abetment of suicide under Section 108 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) against the two women. The investigation into the circumstances leading to his death is underway, officials said.
