Patna: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has announced its decision to contest the upcoming Bihar assembly elections, with the party's Bihar in-charge, Sanjay Singh, stating that the central leadership will decide on seat allocation. Singh criticized the BJP's alleged mistreatment of Bihar migrants in Delhi, particularly the demolition of slums, and urged the people of Bihar to vote the BJP out of power in the state.

The party's entry into the Bihar polls adds another layer of complexity to the already anticipated contest between the NDA and Mahagathbandhan. AAP's decision to contest the elections is seen as a potential game-changer, given its presence in Delhi and Punjab.

Singh alleged that the BJP used to entice Biharis and Purvanchalis living in Delhi with promises of pucca houses, but "baring their fangs" during the polls by labelling them as Bangladeshis. He urged Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and BJP leaders in Bihar to raise their voices against the alleged mistreatment of migrants in Delhi.

The Bihar assembly elections are expected to be a close contest between the NDA and Mahagathbandhan, with AAP and Prashant Kishor's Jan Suraaj Party also throwing their hats into the ring. The outcome of the elections will be closely watched, given the complex dynamics at play.
