12-year-old Maharashtra girl, daughter of MLA’s associate, found dead under suspicious circumstances

Maharashtra: The 12-year-old daughter of NCP (SP) MLA Rohit Pawar’s personal assistant was found dead under suspicious circumstances in Baramati in Maharashtra’s Pune district on Sunday, police said.
The deceased was the daughter of Pawar’s personal assistant, Ajit Dashavatare, officials said. Police have launched an investigation and are examining the circumstances surrounding the girl’s death.
Girl went missing after leaving home
According to sources, the girl had a minor argument with her mother over an issue before leaving home in anger on Saturday.
When she failed to return, her family approached the police and lodged a missing complaint.
Her body was found near her residence in the Sainagar area of Rui village in Baramati tehsil on Sunday morning, according to the police.
Police examine all possible angles
After being alerted, police reached the spot and began investigating the circumstances of the death.
The body was subsequently sent to Baramati Government Medical College and Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
A senior police official said the investigation was being conducted from all angles.
"The police have launched an investigation into the case and are examining all possible angles," the official said.
The police probe is underway.
