Shocking: Woman injured after jumping from building to escape sexual assault in Kozhikode

Mukkom, Kozhikode: In a shocking incident, a woman sustained injuries after jumping from a building while trying to escape alleged sexual assault.

The victim, an employee at a private lodge, was reportedly attacked by the hotel owner and two staff members.

According to the woman’s statement, the accused attempted to assault her, forcing her to take the drastic step. Mukkom police have registered a case against hotel owner Devadas and staff members Riyas and Suresh under sections related to trespassing and outraging the modesty of a woman.

The incident happened around 11:30 p.m. on Saturday. The injured woman is currently undergoing treatment at Kozhikode Medical College Hospital. Police have launched an investigation into the case.
