Holding hands and smiling: Siya Goyal, Chetan seen in cafe before Ketan Agarwal's murder

Pune: A newly surfaced CCTV video allegedly showing Siya Goyal and Chetan Chaudhary sharing smiles, holding hands and spending time together at a cafe hours before businessman Ketan Agarwal's death has become a major talking point in the high-profile murder investigation.
The footage, first aired by India Today and now widely shared across social media platforms, has drawn attention because it purportedly captures the duo together shortly before they travelled to Lohagad Fort, where Agarwal, who was engaged to Goyal, died after falling into a gorge on June 18.
In the video, Goyal and Chaudhary are reportedly seen entering the cafe together before placing an order. Chaudhary appears relaxed and cheerful during the interaction, smiling as he speaks to Goyal. She, meanwhile, appears quieter and is occasionally seen touching her face while listening to him.
So now we know,
This was not some sudden emotional outburst.
According to the investigation, Siya Goyal and Chetan Chaudhary allegedly met at a café a day before Ketan’s death.

The pair later move to a table situated toward the far end of the cafe. CCTV visuals show them seated close to each other, holding hands and looking through their mobile phones. The two also appear engaged in a lengthy conversation, with visible hand gestures and animated exchanges continuing for several minutes.
According to investigators, the cafe meeting forms part of a sequence of events that police believe ultimately led to Agarwal's death later that day. Authorities have alleged that Goyal and Chaudhary met before heading to Lohagad Fort, where the incident took place.
The footage has sparked widespread discussion online, with some social media users attempting to interpret the pair's body language and gestures. However, the nature and content of their conversation cannot be independently verified from the video alone, and investigators have not publicly disclosed any findings specifically linked to the cafe interaction.

Investigators examine six months of communication
Police analysis has revealed that Goyal and Chaudhary remained in frequent contact for months before the incident.
According to Pune Rural Police, the two allegedly exchanged 2,004 phone calls over a six-month period and spent nearly 238 hours speaking to each other. Investigators have noted that some of the conversations reportedly lasted for more than two to three hours at a stretch.
The extensive communication records are now being examined as part of the broader investigation into the circumstances surrounding Agarwal's death.
Alleged murder conspiracy
Police allege that Goyal and Chaudhary considered Agarwal an obstacle to their relationship and subsequently conspired to eliminate him.
Investigators have also claimed that Goyal repeatedly persuaded Agarwal to accompany her to Lohagad Fort in the weeks preceding the incident. Authorities are examining allegations that an earlier attempt to push him from a cliff may have occurred days before the fatal fall.
Agarwal and Goyal became engaged in February and were reportedly planning to marry later this year.
Both Goyal and Chaudhary have been arrested and remain under investigation.
