Mumbai: A shocking incident has come to light in Mumbai's Dadar area where an Uber cab driver has been arrested for allegedly molesting a minor girl.

Upon returning home, the victim narrated the ordeal to her father, who immediately approached the Dadar police to file a complaint. The police promptly registered a case under the relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. Following the registration of the case, the accused Uber driver, Shreyansh Pandey, was arrested.
Further investigation into the matter is currently underway by the Dadar Police.
When contacted for a statement, a representative for Uber Cab stated that they were unaware of the incident but would provide information after gathering details.
This incident has raised serious concerns about the safety of passengers using ride-hailing services, particularly minors, and underscores the need for stringent background checks and safety measures by such companies.
