New Delhi: Two teenagers were allegedly stabbed to death in separate incidents in north and northeast Delhi, a day before Diwali, police said on Sunday.

In the first incident, 16-year-old Devansh was killed after he allegedly resisted an attempt to snatch his mobile phone in north Delhi's Wazirabad.

According to preliminary information, Devansh had gone to buy firecrackers with his friends on Saturday. Around 2:30 am, while returning home through Surendra Colony, some men intercepted them and attempted to rob him of his mobile phone.

"When he resisted, the accused stabbed him multiple times before fleeing the spot. His friends rushed him to a hospital, where doctors declared him dead," a senior police officer said.

In another incident, a 19-year-old man was stabbed to death allegedly following a dispute linked to personal enmity in northeast Delhi's Nand Nagri area in G-Block. His family has alleged that three men, who are identified, were involved in the murder. The victim succumbed to his injuries.

Police teams reached both crime scenes and opened investigations.

In the Wazirabad case, a forensic team collected evidence and police examined CCTV footage to identify the attackers. Some suspects have reportedly been detained for questioning, they said.

In the Nand Nagri case, police investigated the family's allegations to establish the circumstances leading to the killing.
