Sexual assault case: Rahul Mamkootathil submits fresh evidence after complainant files additional material

Thiruvananthapuram: Suspended Congress MLA Rahul Mamkootathil, accused in a sexual assault case, has submitted additional digital evidence against the complainant before a Thiruvananthapuram court on Monday. Rahul, who remains in hiding, filed the material through his lawyer.

According to court sources, the submission includes audio messages, chat records and videos. These files were reportedly accompanied by hash value certificates to establish their authenticity.

Why has more evidence been filed now?

Rahul had earlier produced certain evidence while seeking anticipatory bail.

Subsequently, the complainant approached the court with more material.

In response, Rahul has now filed these further digital documents, expanding the volume of records placed before the court.
