The post-mortem report of former merchant navy officer Saurabh Rajput has disclosed the shocking brutality with which he was murdered and dismembered, allegedly by his wife Muskan Rastogi and her lover Sahil Shukla. The autopsy has confirmed that Rajput’s body was subjected to extreme violence, with his head severed, both hands cut off, and his legs bent backwards, suggesting an attempt to fit the body into a drum.

According to the autopsy findings, Rajput's cause of death was attributed to shock and excessive bleeding, following a violent attack that included multiple stab wounds. The medical team confirmed that Rajput was drugged before being repeatedly stabbed in the heart with great force. "The blows from the sharp long knife pierced deep inside the heart," one of the doctors who conducted the post-mortem explained.

On March 4, Rajput was allegedly killed by his wife and her lover, who then dismembered his body and sealed it inside a drum, filling it with cement. In a chilling attempt to cover up the crime, the duo went on a vacation to Himachal Pradesh while misleading Rajput’s family by sending messages from his phone. His family reported him missing on March 18, prompting an investigation that eventually led to the arrest of Muskan and Sahil.

Superintendent of Police (City) Ayush Vikram Singh confirmed the gruesome details disclosed in the autopsy, stating, "Muskan brutally stabbed Saurabh in his heart, puncturing it. His neck was severed, and both palms were cut off. The body was cut into four pieces to fit it into the drum."

Further revelations from the medical team highlighted the bizarre method used to conceal Rajput’s body. "It was put in the drum and then filled with dust and cement. The body solidified in the cement and did not rot due to lack of air. The smell was not extremely foul," a member of the post-mortem team stated. The drum had to be cut open, and the hardened cement carefully removed to retrieve the dismembered body.

Muskan and Rajput got married in 2016 against his family's wishes, following a relationship and they had a six-year-old daughter. Muskan and Sahil had known each other since school and reconnected via a WhatsApp group in 2019, police said.

Rajput's family has claimed that Muskan's behaviour was concerning from the beginning as she neglected household duties and may have been involved in drug use.
