Kozhikode: Rahul P Gopal, the accused in the Pantheerankavu domestic violence case, was remandedfor 14 days by the Kozhikode Judicial First Class Magistrate Court III. The case was registered based on a complaint by Rahul's wife, and the court will consider it on November 29.

The police took action based on a new complaint from Rahul's wife, who alleged that she was assaulted by him again. This new case comes just a month and a half after the High Court dismissed the earlier domestic violence case.

The wife informed the police that the assault occurred because the fish curry was less tangy. After the incident, Rahul and his mother took the injured woman to the Medical College Hospital on Monday night. However, when the police arrived, the woman claimed she had no complaint. On Tuesday morning, she approached Pantheerankavu Police Station with her parents to file the complaint.

In May, the woman had first filed a domestic violence complaint against Rahul. Following this, a Blue Corner notice was issued for Rahul, who had fled abroad. However, the woman later withdrew the complaint and petitioned the High Court, asking to be allowed to live with her husband. The court subsequently dismissed the case and permitted the woman to go back to her husband.
