Kochi youth brutally attacks fiancee for hanging out with friends without his knowledge
Kochi: In a bizarre incident, a youth here brutally beat up his fiancee for going out and socialising without informing him. The man has been booked by Maradu Police.
Meanwhile, the CCTV footage of the woman being ruthlessly assaulted has surfaced.
The police have registered a case against Arun, a native of Poonithura here. However, they could not nab the accused as he is at large.
The incident took place on Vyttila Janata Road at around 4:30 am on Wednesday. In the footage the young woman is seen walking on the road and Arun following her. He then brutally beats her up and she screams.
Arun was accompanied by four others, but they have not been charged at present.
It is learned that the woman's marriage with Arun has been fixed.
According to the police, an argument related to the woman's hanging out with her friends without his “permission” and coming late resulted in the cruel attack.
As per the local residents, when the police arrived, the woman said that she had no complaint. However, later the police filed a case after the woman was admitted to the hospital.
