Husband murders wife, cut her body into pieces, put it in a bag and was caught while washing it

Kanyakumari (Tamil Nadu) : A gruesome murder in Anjugramam village, Kanyakumari district, has shocked Tamil Nadu. Marimuthu (35) was arrested for hacking his wife, Maria Sandhya (30), to death following a heated argument. The incident occurred after Marimuthu, suspicious of Maria, called her home from work and brutally killed her.

Marimuthu and Maria Sandhya had moved to Anjugramam five months ago. Maria Sandhya, employed in a fish sales company in Thoothukudi, had frequent arguments with Marimuthu due to his suspicions and refusal to continue their relationship. On the day of the murder, Marimuthu reportedly turned up the television volume to mask the crime. After killing Maria, he dismembered her body into three pieces, placed them in a bag, and was caught by locals while washing the bag.

The horrific act came to light when locals stopped Marimuthu and discovered Maria’s remains inside the bag. They immediately informed the police, who arrested him on the spot. The investigation, led by Deputy Superintendent of Police Mahesh Kumar, is ongoing.

Maria and Marimuthu, who had been living in Anjugramam for the past five months have two children. .
