Hyderabad woman accuses actor-wrestler Saurav Gurjar of harassment after alleged marriage promise

Actor and professional wrestler Saurav Gurjar is facing a police case in Hyderabad after a woman accused him of harassment and cheating, alleging that he repeatedly assured her of marriage and later distanced himself from her.
The complaint was lodged at the Gachibowli police station in Cyberabad on August 15.
The woman alleged that Gurjar had promised to marry her and assured her that she would have rights equivalent to those of a wife.
She also accused him of subjecting her to physical and mental harassment during their relationship.
According to the complaint, the two first connected on Instagram in 2021 before their communication moved to WhatsApp.
They met for the first time on December 25, 2021, and their relationship allegedly continued even while the woman was living in the United States.
The woman alleged that Gurjar later persuaded her to leave her job in the US, telling her that the two would establish a business together.
She claimed that the alleged circumstances surrounding their relationship subsequently affected her ability to focus on her professional life.
The complainant further alleged that questions about marriage often led to Gurjar blocking her phone number and withdrawing from communication.
She said that despite his earlier assurances, he would distance himself whenever she sought clarity about their future together. The complaint also details their alleged living arrangement.
The woman told police that Gurjar stayed with her from October 2025 until March 2026.
She further alleged that after returning to Hyderabad and continuing to live with her, he left suddenly without informing her.
Following the complaint, Gachibowli police registered a case and began examining the allegations.
During the investigation, police traced Gurjar to Mumbai, detained him and brought him to Hyderabad for further legal proceedings.
The investigation will now focus on the circumstances of their relationship, the alleged assurances of marriage, their period of cohabitation and the other allegations raised in the complaint.
The allegations are part of the police complaint and will be subject to investigation and the legal process.
