Shocking incident in Kannur: 12-year-old girl throws infant into well

Kannur: A four-month-old baby was found dead in a well in Kannur, Kerala on Tuesday morning. A 12-year-old relative has now confessed to killing the baby.

The four-month-old baby of Tamil Nadu natives went missing on Monday night. Later, during the search, the baby's body was found in a nearby well. The police had already suspected that the baby's death was a murder.

The baby's relative, a girl, was also at home when the baby went missing. The 12-year-old initially gave a statement to the police that she had gone to the toilet at night and did not see the baby when she returned. However, the police had doubts about this statement.  Later, the girl confessed that she had killed the baby.
