Two youth nabbed with 12 grams of MDMA in Kozhikode; search on for accomplices

Malappuram: Two members of a gang selling drugs in Malabar area, including Kozhikode and Malappuram, were arrested by the Tirur Police from Kozhikode. Navaneet (25) of Pookat House, a native of Elathur, and Akshay (29) of Pattoth House, a native of Karaparamba, were arrested by the police with 12.64 grams of MDMA at Wakad.

Acting on a tip off received by Malappuram District Police Chief S Sasidharan, the District Anti-Narcotic Special Action Force (DANSAF) and Tirur Police jointly conducted an inspection on Saturday evening and the accused were caught on a motorcycle with drugs from Wakkad area. The duo have stated that the drug was brought for distribution in the Tirur-Tanur area. 

The police informed that the investigation has been intensified to trace the accomplices of the accused from these parts.

The accused were produced before the Magistrate and later remanded.
