Man beaten, wife molested, teenage son thrashed in Delhi’s Laxmi Nagar; CCTV footage goes viral

A spine-chilling act of violence has shaken Delhi, where a father and his son were allegedly stripped naked, dragged onto the street, and brutally assaulted by a group of men in the Laxmi Nagar area — all while bystanders watched in silence.

The incident, which took place on January 2 between 3 and 3.30 pm, was recorded on video and has since gone viral, triggering widespread outrage and raising disturbing questions about public safety and policing in the national capital. Watch the clipping below:

According to the victims’ family, the violence erupted outside their own property. Rita Garg, the victim’s mother, said the attack began without provocation when a local man, Shubham Yadav, allegedly grabbed her husband, Rajesh Garg, as the couple stood outside their home.

What followed, she claims, was sheer terror. Another accused, Pintu Yadav, allegedly arrived in a speeding Thar SUV, narrowly missing Rajesh Garg before launching a vicious assault. Soon after, multiple men — identified by the family as Pintu Yadav, Vikas Yadav, and Shubham Yadav — allegedly joined in, punching, kicking, and throwing Rajesh Garg to the ground.

Rita Garg said she was pushed away, kicked in the stomach, and dragged by her hair when she tried to intervene. “They humiliated us beyond imagination,” she said, adding that she ran to the police station in desperation — only to return to an even more horrifying scene.

By then, the attackers had allegedly stormed into the house, dragged her son outside, stripped him completely, and beaten him mercilessly in public. “My son kept pleading with folded hands. People were watching, but no one stepped in,” she said, calling the public humiliation “no less than sexual violence.”

Rajesh Garg recounted that his clothes were torn off and he was repeatedly punched in the face. He said the attack has shattered the family, especially as his son’s wedding is scheduled in just 10 days. “I saw my son lying on the road, broken,” he said.

The family claims that both their sons have since fled home, switched off their mobile phones, and remain untraceable due to fear and trauma.

Police have reportedly arrested one accused, Pintu Yadav, while the remaining suspects are still absconding. “Only one arrest is not enough,” Rajesh Garg said. “All of them must be arrested and given the harshest punishment.”

As the disturbing video continues to circulate online, civil rights groups and citizens are demanding swift justice and accountability, warning that such unchecked brutality reflects a terrifying breakdown of law and order. An investigation is currently underway.
