Woman found inside beauty salon in Thiruvananthapuram; Body is two weeks old

Thiruvananthapuram: A woman was found dead inside a beauty parlour here on friday.

The deceased is identified as Sheela (55), a Marthandam native and also the owner of the establishment ‘Natural Royal Salon’. The police said that the dead body is about two weeks old.

The incident came into light last evening when the students of the tuition centre located on the top floor of the building complained of an emanating  foul smell.

Later,  Shaji, a native of Kannettumukku and the owner of the building, informed the police. Thampanoor police reached the spot and started investigation. 

The police entered by breaking locks as the door was locked from inside and Sheela was found dead in the beauty parlour. According to the reports, the deceased had physical disabilities. 

No further information is available about her family or relatives. She has been running the beauty parlor for the past two years. The owners of the nearby stores said that she was not seen outside for days.
