B2B e-commerce platform IndiaMart has pitched for stronger policy measures in the Union Budget 2026 to support micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), including easier access to credit and higher export thresholds.

IndiaMart Chief Operating Officer, Dinesh Gulati, said MSMEs have multiple digital footprints and there is a significant scope to use these digital footprints to make collateral-free loans available for them.

IndiaMart also highlighted concerns over the current cap on cross-border e-commerce trade for MSMEs, which is fixed at ₹10 lakh. Gulati said the limit is inadequate and should be raised to ₹25 lakh, matching the ceiling allowed for payment aggregators.

Further, the company has sought budgetary incentives to promote technology adoption among MSMEs, including investments in cloud services, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity.

Gulati noted that encouraging MSMEs to adopt advanced technologies would help them streamline operations, enhance efficiency, and scale up their businesses more rapidly.
