'Stop hiding like cowards' Rahul Gandhi slams BJP, calls for direct political dialogue

New Delhi: In a high-voltage session in the House, Rahul Gandhi delivered a sharp critique of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), accusing its leadership of harboring a "central fundamental confusion" regarding their identity and the nation.

Addressing the House, Gandhi asserted that the BJP leadership has mistakenly conflated their political organisation with the citizens of India and the country's military institutions.

"You are not the people of India; the people of India are something else," Gandhi stated, further pointing out that the BJP is a political organisation and should not be confused with the armed forces of India.

The opposition leader clarified that the critiques leveled by his party are directed strictly at the BJP as a political entity, rather than at the nation or its defenders.

He accused the ruling party of using national symbols as a shield against political accountability, urging them to "stop hiding like cowards" behind the people and the armed forces.

Gandhi concluded his remarks with a direct challenge to the BJP leadership, calling for an open and direct dialogue.

"Come out and talk to us and have a discussion with us," he demanded.
