A bond beyond words: Dog follows owner from home to cremation ground

Shivpuri (Madhya Pradesh): A heartbreaking scene from Badora village in Madhya Pradesh’s Shivpuri district has left people emotional after a pet dog showed extraordinary loyalty to its owner even in death.

Jagdish Prajapati was found dead at his home earlier this week in what is suspected to be a suicide. His pet dog, Moti, was by his side at the time. But what followed moved an entire village.

When Jagdish’s body was taken for post-mortem the next morning, Moti ran behind the vehicle and eventually rode along after villagers noticed him. The dog then stayed close to the body at the post-mortem centre and followed it to the cremation ground.

Even after the cremation was completed, Moti reportedly remained seated near the pyre for hours, refusing food and water.

According to locals, Jagdish and Moti were inseparable in life, and the dog’s actions after his owner’s death reflected an unspoken bond that went beyond words.
