Emotional scenes as stray dog refuses to leave woman’s final resting place | VIDEO

In Edavanna in Kerala’s Malappuram district, a stray dog has been seen staying near the grave of an elderly woman, Amina, who recently died. Locals say she used to feed the dog regularly.

Amina had collapsed outside her home last week when no one was present. The dog began barking loudly and persistently, which alerted nearby residents. They rushed to the spot and took her to hospital, but she could not be saved.

According to a mosque caretaker, the dog had been seen near the graveyard a few days before her death. He said it was noticed at the time but not given significance. After Amina’s death, the dog reportedly followed the funeral procession and remained close to the burial site.

Even after the funeral, the animal has been returning to the grave whenever family members visit, and is often seen sitting quietly beside it, staying in the same spot for long periods.
