Aroma Chundan clinches thrilling Nehru Trophy victory in photo finish

Rowed by the spirited oarsmen of the Aroma Boat Club, Aroma Chundan staged a remarkable fightback to clinch a nail-biting Nehru Trophy victory on Saturday. In a photo finish on Punnamada Lake, the Kollam Paravur-based snake boat crossed the line in 4:23.328, narrowly edging out Nadubhagam Chundan (4:23.448).

The razor-thin win triggered emotional scenes as the Aroma crew celebrated their maiden title, while the runner-up oarsmen broke down in tears. UBC Kainakary FC's Veeyapuram Chundan finished third, while Pallathuruthy Boat Club’s Melpadam Chundan took fourth place in the fiercely contested four-boat final.
