Swatantrya Veer Savarkar
Randeep made his directorial debut with a biopic on Vinayak Damodar Sawarkar, titled ‘Swatantrya Veer Sawarkar’. Released in March 2024, the film was an average success, making about Rs. 31.23 crore at the box office. However, it was Randeep’s massive transformation that became a talking point. Sarabjit
Much before ‘Swatantrya Veer Savarkar’, Randeep had stunned everyone with his extreme weight loss for ‘Sarabjit’, a biopic on Sarabjit Singh, an Indian who was sentenced to death by Pakistan’s Supreme Court after being wrongly accused of terrorism and spending 22 years in prison. For his role, Randeep had lost 18 kilograms of weight. He earned praise not only for his physical transformation but also for his performance in the movie. The film also starred Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as Sarabjit’s sister, Dalbir Kaur.
Do Lafzon Ki Kahani
A lesser-known film of Randeep’s career is ‘Do Lafzon Ki Kahani’, helmed by actor-director Deepak Tijori.
