What began as a candid interview soon turned into a series of startling revelations. Actress Eva Grover, best known for 'Karishma Ka Karishma' and 'Ready', has opened up about the darkest chapter of her personal life, making explosive allegations against her former husband, Hyder Ali Khan, who is also Aamir Khan's stepbrother.
From claiming he pressured her to 'compromise' with filmmakers to recalling alleged abuse during their marriage, Grover shared details of a relationship she says left a lasting impact on her life.
Speaking to Siddharth Kannan, Grover alleged that Hyder repeatedly pressured her to get physically intimate with directors and producers in exchange for work.
Recalling one such conversation, she said, 'Kya farak padta hai? Kyuki humko propositions aati thi na, actresses ko toh aati hi hain. Badi badi propositions aati hain, proposals aate hain. Mere apne ex-husband ne kaha tha, 'Kya farak padta hai? Karo. Karna padega. Aapko ghar chalana hai, humara electric bill itna ho gaya hai, bachche ke liye paisa chahiye.''
She said those words marked a turning point in her life. 'That was the end of everything. Uske baad maine kabhi mud ke nahi dekha,' Eva added, explaining that she chose to walk away from the marriage.
The actress also revealed that Hyder has schizophrenia, a condition she claims she was unaware of when they married because they barely knew each other.
According to Grover, the marriage soon became violent, with her family often noticing bruises on her body and worrying about her well-being.
Despite their troubled past, SHE expressed sympathy for Hyder's current circumstances, adding he is now living in difficult conditions, without a permanent home and often depending on others for shelter and food.
'Today, Hyder is not in a good condition. He has no house and struggles even for food. Sometimes someone lets him stay in a chawl, sometimes a friend helps him. I feel sad. Whatever happened, happened, but from a humanitarian point of view, he was once my husband,' she said. Eva further alleged that people around him continue to provide him with alcohol and that there is no one to care for him. 'I only pray that whenever his time comes, he finds peace. He has suffered a lot,' she added.
Hyder Ali Khan is the son of Shahnaz from her first marriage. He became Aamir Khan's stepbrother after Shahnaz married the late filmmaker Tahir Hussain, Aamir's father.
Before pursuing acting, Hyder reportedly worked as a cabin crew member. According to reports and Eva's account, he is not believed to be close to Aamir Khan or his family.
