Suriya–Jithu Madhavan’s ‘Scene’ gets November 6 release; Sri Gokulam Movies to handle Kerala distribution

Suriya-starrer ‘Scene’, directed by Malayali filmmaker Jithu Madhavan, is set to hit theatres worldwide on November 6, coinciding with Diwali. The action-comedy, which marks Madhavan’s first Tamil film after the success of Malayalam films ‘Romancham’ and ‘Aavesham’, will be brought to Kerala by Sri Gokulam Movies, owned by Sri Gokulam Gopalan. 

Dream Big Films has joined the project as the distribution partner for its Kerala release, with Sri Gokulam Movies planning a large-scale release for the film across the state.

Produced by Jyothika and Suriya under the banners of Zhagaram Studios and 2D Entertainment Studios, ‘Scene’ features Suriya in the lead role, with Malayalam actor Naslen playing a prominent part. Nazriya Nazim, who enjoys a strong following among Malayali audiences, plays the female lead.

The film’s title teaser, released earlier, received a strong response on social media. The glimpse presented Suriya in a combination of action and comedy sequences, hinting at a stylishly mounted entertainer. The actor plays Imbaraj IPS, a police officer, in the film.

‘Scene’ comes after Suriya’s recent successes ‘Karuppu’ and ‘Viswanath & Sons’, with the actor looking to continue his successful run with the upcoming release.

The film is currently in post-production. Music has been composed by Malayali composer Sushin Shyam, marking his debut as a music composer in Tamil cinema. Vineeth Augustine is the cinematographer.

For Jithu Madhavan, ‘Scene’ marks his first Tamil-language project following the success of ‘Romancham’ and ‘Aavesham’ in Malayalam cinema. The film is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on November 6 as a Diwali release.
