Ramayana teaser OUT on Hanuman Jayanti: Ranbir Kapoor turns celestial as Lord Ram, internet erupts

The teaser of ‘Ramayana’, starring Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, has finally been unveiled, coinciding with the celebrations of Hanuman Jayanti. Watch the video below:

The much-anticipated first glimpse of the film was introduced earlier this week at a special event in Los Angeles, before being officially released across digital platforms.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film is a grand cinematic adaptation of the Indian epic.

The newly released teaser offers audiences their first look at Ranbir Kapoor in the role of Lord Ram, generating widespread excitement and anticipation among fans.

The teaser is currently available on social media platforms as well as the official ‘World of Ramayana’ YouTube channel.

The makers highlighted Lord Ram’s ideals in the caption, emphasising his commitment to duty, sacrifice, and the greater good.

The film features a star-studded cast, including Yash as Ravana, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Ravie Dubey as Lakshman, and Sunny Deol as Hanuman.

The project also brings together globally acclaimed composer Hans Zimmer and AR Rahman for its music and background score.

Shot using IMAX technology, ‘Ramayana’ is positioned as one of the most ambitious Indian film projects. The first part is slated for release during Diwali 2026, while the second installment is expected to arrive on Diwali 2027.
