Priyanka Chopra at 'Heads of State' NYC premiere: My daughter runs the house
New York: Priyanka Chopra commanded the red carpet at the New York City premiere of her upcoming action thriller, ‘Heads of State’. Flanked by co-stars Idris Elba and John Cena, the trio made for an unforgettable visual, radiating star power and charisma.
The global icon turned heads in a stunning gown that accentuated her silhouette, paired with radiant makeup and sleek hair — a look that quickly lit up fan pages across social media. Videos from the evening show her flashing her signature smile, graciously posing for selfies, and sharing warm moments with fans and media alike.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Chopra happily opened up about her daughter, Malti Marie — the little diva close to everyone’s hearts. The doting mother even recalled a recent heartwarming moment between Malti and dad Nick Jonas, capturing the sweet father-daughter bond as Nick gently offered his finger to their little one.
Chopra got emotional at her daughter's reaction after watching her on screen. Taking to her Instagram Stories, the star posted a brief clip of Malti sitting in front of a television. In the video, Chopra was seen in one of her interviews. Glued to the screen, Malti moved sideways cutely. Sharing the clip, Priyanka wrote, "She said 'my mama'.”
Chopra revealed that little Malti has an adorable habit of rummaging through her things as she gets ready for big nights out. “She definitely runs our house,” Priyanka quipped. When asked if Malti helps her get dolled up, the proud mom replied, “She did, she always does, actually — mostly when she’s with me, she does.”
But what is Malti really like? Chopra didn’t hold back her joy: “She’s so fun and precocious and like loves everything about life — joyous and curious and kind. She makes every day so amazing.”
Speaking about Malti referring to the Jonas Brothers, as the Donut Brother, PC said, "I love that!". So does the little one have a favourite Jonas Brothers song yet, belted out by dad Nick Jonas and uncles Joe and Kevin Jonas? "I don't know if she even associates the band with it. She just knows that Dad goes to work and they are called the Donut Brothers."
Directed by Ilya Naishuller, Heads of State follows two world leaders who must put aside their fierce rivalry to combat a high-stakes global conspiracy, orchestrated by a ruthless foreign adversary.
Alongside Priyanka, Idris, and Cena, the film features an impressive supporting cast including Jack Quaid, Paddy Considine, Stephen Root, and Carla Gugino. The high-octane action drama is slated for an OTT release on July 2.
