Dark

Tamil psychological horror thriller ‘Dark’ arrives on Prime Video on August 21. Starring K Bhagyaraj, Natarajan Subramaniam, VTV Ganesh and Ajay Karthi, the film revolves around hidden secrets and escalating psychological tension. The story takes a darker turn as the characters find themselves caught in unsettling circumstances.

Jana Nayagan

One of the biggest OTT releases of the week is ‘Jana Nayagan’, starring Vijay, Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol and Mamitha Baiju. The film combines action and political drama and follows a former police officer who is pulled into a larger battle after a personal event brings old conflicts back into his life.

The film has also drawn attention because it marks Vijay's final film before his full-time political career. Jana Nayagan begins streaming on ZEE5 on August 21.

Pyaar Prema Kalyanam

For viewers looking for something lighter, ‘Pyaar Prema Kalyanam’ offers a romantic family entertainer. The film stars Elan, Saanve Meghana, Radhika Sarathkumar and MS Bhaskar and blends romance, comedy and family emotions. It is scheduled for its digital release on August 21 on Netflix.

Welcome To The Jungle

Akshay Kumar returns with a large ensemble cast in ‘Welcome To The Jungle’, the latest film in the Welcome franchise. The comedy revolves around a chaotic case of mistaken identity that takes the characters into increasingly absurd situations.

The story involves a film shoot that is mistaken for a military operation, eventually pulling the unsuspecting cast and crew into a much more dangerous situation. Along with Akshay Kumar, the film features Suniel Shetty, Paresh Rawal, Arshad Warsi, Jacqueline Fernandez, Disha Patani, Jackie Shroff, Raveena Tandon, Lara Dutta, Johnny Lever, Rajpal Yadav and several others. Welcome To The Jungle premieres on JioHotstar on August 21.

Directed by Ravi Namburi, the romantic drama explores love, emotional healing and second chances. The film will be available on SonyLIV in Telugu, along with dubbed versions in Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi.

Stillwater Season 5

The fifth season of ‘Stillwater’ is also arriving this weekend. The animated series follows three young siblings who learn important life lessons from Stillwater, a wise panda who lives next door.

The new season continues the show's gentle, family-friendly storytelling and is aimed particularly at younger viewers and families looking for something easy to watch together. Season 5 premieres on Apple TV on August 21.

I, Nobody

Prithviraj Sukumaran and Parvathy Thiruvothu headline ‘I, Nobody’, a crime thriller directed by Nisam Basheer. The film follows a darker, suspense-driven story and had a mixed response during its theatrical run. It now gets a second outing with its digital premiere on JioHotstar on August 25.

A Beautiful Obsession

The four-part docuseries, directed by Oscar-winning filmmaker Kevin Macdonald, follows Pep Guardiola and Manchester City through the final chapter of Guardiola's tenure at the club. It goes behind the scenes to explore the team's difficult 2024-25 season, the pressure on Guardiola and his players, and the changes that followed.

All four episodes are streaming from August 21 in India on Lionsgate Play.

Anbe Diana

‘Anbe Diana’ is a Tamil romantic comedy-drama starring Pari Elavazhagan and Ramya Ranganathan. The film explores love, relationships and the complications that arise when personal expectations clash with reality, while keeping the tone relatively light and family-friendly. It is expected to begin streaming on SonyLIV on August 28.

Bandar

Bobby Deol and Sanya Malhotra headline Anurag Kashyap's ‘Bandar’, which is set to make its OTT debut on ZEE5 on August 28. The Great Grand Superhero

Jackie Shroff's ‘The Great Grand Superhero: Aliens Ka Aagman’ is now available to stream on ZEE5. Directed by Manish Saini, the family-friendly fantasy film follows a young boy who believes that his grandfather has superpowers and is destined to save the world from an alien invasion. The story mixes childhood imagination, family bonds and an alien adventure, making it a watch aimed at both children and parents.

Jackie Shroff leads the cast, with Prateik Smita Patil, Bhagyashree, Sharat Saxena and child actors Mihir Godbole and Shivansh Chorge also appearing in the film. It originally released in theatres on May 29 and has now made its digital debut on ZEE5 from August 21.
