Mumabi: Zarine Khan, born Zarin Katrak, passed away on Friday at her Mumbai residence at the age of 81.

Zarine married Sanjay Khan in 1966, and over the years, she became a respected figure in both the entertainment and social spheres. She had also ventured briefly into films, appearing as Dev Anand’s secretary, Jenny Farnandes, in the 1963 film Tere Ghar Ke Saamne. Recently, she was seen in a vlog by her daughter Farah Khan, sharing stories and memories from family gatherings.

She is survived by her husband Sanjay Khan and her four children: Zayed Khan, Sussanne Khan, Farah Khan Ali, and Simone Arora. Zarine Khan’s eldest daughter Farah is married to DJ Aqeel, while her second daughter, Simone, is married to businessman Ajay Arora. Sussanne, the youngest daughter, was previously married to actor Hrithik Roshan. Her son Zayed is married to Malaika.
