‘Who’s the Best Rider?’ Mammootty in Kerala Police helmet campaign sparks fan buzz ahead of State Film Awards

Kerala Police has taken a creative approach to raise awareness about wearing helmets while riding two-wheelers. Ahead of the Kerala State Film Awards announcement, the police social media team shared images from various films featuring actors on motorcycles, some wearing helmets and others not, posing the question of who the best rider is.

The post includes clips of Mohanlal in ‘Thudaram’, Asif Ali in ‘Sarkeet’ and Mammootty in ‘Oru Kuttanadan Blog’. Among them, only Mammootty is seen riding with a helmet. The police asked fans, “Who will be the best rider?”
 

Social media fans immediately chimed in, praising Mammootty as the safest and “best rider” for wearing a helmet. Others speculated whether the post was a subtle hint at the upcoming Kerala State Film Awards on Saturday, with comments joking, “A big signal for tomorrow — the award is for this actor, psychological move by Kerala Police, intelligence report or what?”

Reports suggest that the final contenders for Best Actor include Mammootty, Asif Ali, Vijay Raghavan and Tovino Thomas. Mohanlal also features on the list for the Best Debut Director category. A total of 36 films have reached the final round of consideration.
