New Delhi: Actor Kajal Aggarwal has condemned the killing of Hindu man Dipu Chandra Das in Bangladesh, joining several Indian celebrities in speaking out against what they described as a brutal lynching and raising concerns over the safety of Hindu minorities in the neighbouring country.

Kajal shared a post on her Instagram story reacting to the incident, which reportedly took place in Bangladesh’s Mymensingh a few days ago. The post featured a poster showing the body of a man set on fire, referencing videos circulating online that allegedly show the lynching of Dipu Chandra Das.

The poster carried the message ‘All eyes on Bangladesh Hindus’, along with the words: ‘Wake up Hindus! Silence won’t save you’.

Kajal was not alone in condemning the incident. Several Indian celebrities expressed outrage and called for stronger voices against violence targeting minorities.

Actor Janhvi Kapoor also reacted strongly, describing the incident as “barbaric” and urging people to confront what she called an “inhumane public lynching”.

“What is happening in Bangladesh is barbaric. It is slaughter and it is not an isolated incident. If you don't know about his inhumane public lynching, read about it, see the videos, ask the questions. And if despite all of this you feel no rage, then it is exactly this kind of hypocrisy that will destroy us before we know it,” Janhvi wrote.

She further added, “We will continue to cry about things half way across the globe while our own brothers and sisters are burnt to death. Extremism in any and every form needs to be called out and condemned before we forget our humanity.”
