Chennai: The makers of Mohanlal’s much-anticipated magnum opus Vrusshabha unveiled the film’s trailer on Tuesday, offering a powerful glimpse into an emotionally charged father-son drama mounted on a grand scale.

Written and directed by Nanda Kishore, Vrusshabha features Mohanlal in a commanding role alongside Samarjit Lankesh, who essays the character of his son. The trailer highlights themes of legacy, destiny and emotional conflict, set against an expansive, action-packed backdrop.

Apart from Mohanlal and Samarjit Lankesh, the film also stars Ragini Dwivedi, Nayan Sarika, Ajay and Neha Saxena in pivotal roles.

Sharing the trailer on social media, the makers described the film as “a grand emotional saga led by Mohanlal,” adding that the story revolves around a powerful father-son bond. The visuals underline the scale of the project, blending intense drama with stylised action and regal imagery.

Mohanlal also took to X to reiterate the film’s release plans, calling Vrusshabha “a story that is more than cinema, a legacy,” and confirmed that the film will release worldwide on December 25, 2025, as a Christmas festive offering.

Vrusshabha was earlier slated for an October release, which was later postponed to November, before the makers locked December 25 as the final release date.

With the trailer now out, expectations have risen sharply for the film, which promises a blend of emotion, grandeur and spectacle anchored by Mohanlal’s screen presence.
