Suriya aims for gold, love and happiness in ‘Vishwanath and Sons’ trailer | WATCH

The trailer of Suriya-starrer ‘Vishwanath and Sons’ has been released, offering a first look at director Venky Atluri’s family drama that combines ambition, relationships and romance. 

Suriya plays Sanjay Vishwanath, an international pistol shooter who remains determined to achieve his professional goals despite being in his 40s. The trailer presents his sporting aspirations alongside the challenges he faces in his personal life, with family dynamics, self-discovery and an age-gap romance forming key parts of the narrative.

Mamitha Baiju stars opposite Suriya, while Radhika Sarathkumar and Raveena Tandon appear in significant roles. The film marks Atluri’s latest directorial venture and brings together a cast led by Suriya in a story centred on continuing to pursue one's ambitions regardless of age or circumstances.

The trailer release comes shortly after Suriya received a major reception from fans at the film’s audio launch in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. Thousands of supporters gathered at the event to welcome the actor, with the crowd’s enthusiasm reflecting the anticipation surrounding the film.

Atluri, composer GV Prakash Kumar and members of the cast and crew also attended the event, where the film’s music was launched.

The growing buzz around ‘Vishwanath and Sons’ also comes after Suriya’s recent success with ‘Karuppu’, which has further raised expectations for his next theatrical release.

Directed by Venky Atluri, ‘Vishwanath and Sons’ is scheduled to hit cinemas worldwide on August 14.

The film is part of a busy line-up for Suriya. Following its release, the actor is expected to collaborate with director Jithu Madhavan on his next project, tentatively titled S47. He is also set to work with director TJ Gnanavel on another film backed by Hombale Films, while several other projects involving the actor are reportedly in development.
