Unni Mukundan's action-packed film Marco has become a global sensation, gaining recognition as one of the most violent films in Indian cinema. Directed by Haneef Adeni, with a script penned by him and produced by Shareef Muhammad under the banner of Cubes Entertainments, the film has captivated audiences worldwide.

Amid the ongoing successful theatrical run of Marco, reports of a sequel have surfaced. Speculations intensified after Shareef Muhammad shared an image featuring Tamil superstar Chiyaan Vikram, hinting at his possible role as the antagonist in the next instalment. The meeting apparently included Vikram's son and actor Dhruv Vikram, and has fueled discussions about the sequel’s potential cast.

Adding to the excitement, Sree Gokulam Movies shared another photograph on Instagram, showcasing Unni Mukundan, Chiyaan Vikram, and Sree Gokulam Movies' S.R. Krishnamoorthy together. Interestingly, Vikram appears in the same attire and setting as seen in Shareef Muhammad’s earlier post, further substantiating the rumours. The presence of Dhruv Vikram in this meeting has added intrigue.

Reports suggest that Cubes Entertainments and Sree Gokulam Movies might collaborate to produce the sequel, potentially on a much larger budget. However, there is no official confirmation regarding the project. Speculations also point to the possibility of an entirely different film featuring Unni Mukundan and Vikram under the Sree Gokulam Movies banner.

Although no formal announcements have been made about Marco’s sequel, the film’s ending hints at a continuation.

Meanwhile, Marco continues to dominate theatres as a high-octane action-packed crime drama. Notably, it has achieved the distinction of being the first South Indian film to release in South Korea since Baahubali. Scheduled for an April release in Korea, the film will be screened in over 100 theatres.

The film features an ensemble cast, including Siddique, Jagadish, Anson Paul, Kabir Duhan Singh, Abhimanyu Thilakan, Yukti Thareja, and other stars and newcomers. Promoted as Malayalam cinema’s most massive and violent film, Marco has lived up to its expectations, as evident from the response from theatres.
