Vijay Sethupathi’s 'Maharaja' set for massive 40,000-screen release in China

After receiving widespread acclaim and a strong box office performance in India, the suspense thriller 'Maharaja', starring Vijay Sethupathi, is all set to make its grand debut in China. The film, directed by Nithilan Swaminathan, will be released on November 29 by Yi Shi Films in collaboration with Alibaba Pictures, with plans for an extensive release across over 40,000 screens.
'Maharaja' has garnered attention for its engaging storytelling, layered screenplay, and Sethupathi’s powerhouse performance in his 50th film. The film has been praised for its gripping narrative and has resonated well with audiences, propelling it to commercial success in India.
The film also features actors Anurag Kashyap, Mamta Mohandas, Natarajan Subramaniam, Bharathiraja, Abhirami, Singampuli, and Munishkanth, among others. The music is composed by Ajaneesh Loknath.
