Actor Vijay Deverakonda pushes through injury for VD 12 shoot

The much-celebrated star of Geetha Govindam, Vijay Deverakonda is once again in the spotlight as he gears up for his highly anticipated action film, VD 12. Known for his charm as a romantic lead, the actor is set to take on a more intense, action-packed role in this upcoming project, and fans are eagerly awaiting its release.

According to reports from Mid-day, a source close to Deverakonda shared that the actor is fully committed to the film, even pushing through a minor injury sustained during an action sequence. "Vijay suffered a minor injury while filming an action scene, but he refuses to slow down," the source revealed. "He’s back in action after a long break and is highly focused on his preparation."

Despite the injury, Deverakonda is prioritising his work. He is taking extra precautions during training and filming. He is said to have his physiotherapist on hand to ensure he stays injury-free as he works towards perfecting his physically demanding role.

The excitement surrounding VD 12 grew even further when the actor shared a first-look poster of the film, showcasing a more serious and intense side of his character. While Deverakonda has dabbled in action roles before, such as in Liger opposite Ananya Panday, the film did not perform well at the box office. However, expectations for VD 12 remain high, with fans eager to see the actor in a fresh, action-driven avatar.

The VD 12 is slated for a worldwide release on March 28, 2025.
