Varalaxmi Sarathkumar ties knot in Thailand; star-studded reception in Chennai

Actor Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, daughter of Sarathkumar, tied the knot with Mumbai-based art gallerist Nicholai Sachdev in a picturesque destination wedding in Thailand. The festivities continued with a grand reception in Chennai, attended by several popular artists from the film industry.

The reception saw a glittering turnout of celebrities including Suresh Gopi, Shobhana, AR Rahman, Rajinikanth, Trisha, Nandamuri Balakrishna, Mani Ratnam, Lizzy, Khushbu, Jackie Shroff, Suhasini, Atlee, Prabhudeva, Vijay Antony, Ramya Krishnan, Bala, Jeeva, and Aishwarya Rajinikanth.

Varalaxmi dazzled in a grape-coloured lehenga adorned with intricate crystal work, complemented by diamond ornaments, while Nicholai looked elegant in a grape and black sherwani.

The pictures and videos from the mehndi and sangeet ceremonies showcasing the couple and guests in vibrant attire had gone viral a few days ago. For the mehndi, Varalaxmi wore a green long lehenga, while Nicholai opted for a green and cream sherwani. At the sangeet, Varalaxmi shone in a silver lehenga, while Nicholai wore a black sherwani.

The celebrations included memorable moments like Radhika Sarathkumar's dance performance to the tune of 'Ponmagal Vanthal'.

Varalaxmi, daughter of Sarathkumar and his first wife Chaya, has a sister named Pooja. The couple's engagement took place last March, following a 14-year friendship between Varalaxmi and Nicholai.
