Triptii Dimri replaces Deepika Padukone in Prabhas’ next ‘Spirit’

Triptii Dimri is riding high on success and she's just added another big project to her growing filmography. The actress has officially signed on for ‘Spirit’, the upcoming film by ‘Animal’ director Sandeep Reddy Vanga.
Sharing the news with her fans on Instagram, Triptii expressed her excitement and gratitude, writing, “Still sinking in… So grateful to be trusted with this journey. Thank you @sandeepreddy.vanga... honoured to be a part of your vision.”
Her first film with Prabhas
Triptii will be starring alongside Prabhas in ‘Spirit’, marking her first on-screen pairing with the ‘Kalki’ star. The film is being touted as one of the most ambitious projects on Prabhas’ slate, with him reportedly playing a no-nonsense, intense cop. Backed by T-Series and Bhadrakali Pictures, the film is currently in its pre-production phase and is expected to go on floors in 2025.
Stepping in for Deepika
Interestingly, Triptii is stepping into a role that was earlier offered to Deepika Padukone. Reports suggest that Deepika exited the project due to a disagreement over terms, which allegedly included reduced working hours, a high remuneration, and a share in the profits. While the exact reason for her exit remains unclear, Triptii’s entry has certainly made headlines.
Upcoming projects
In work front Triptii is starring in ‘Dhadak 2’ opposite Siddhant Chaturvedi. Directed by Shazia Iqbal, the film is a sequel to the 2018 hit that launched Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter. The film is being produced by Zee Studios, Dharma Productions, and Cloud 9 Pictures.
Adding to the buzz, Triptii also has an exciting lineup ahead, including Arjun Ustara with Shahid Kapoor, ‘Ma Behan’ alongside Madhuri Dixit, ‘Animal Park’ opposite Ranbir Kapoor, and an untitled film with ‘KGF’ actor Yash.
