Yash's 'Toxic' trailer gets a release date; new poster raises even more questions

The countdown to one of the biggest Indian film releases of the year has officially begun. The makers of ‘Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups’, starring Rocking Star Yash, have finally announced when fans can expect the film's long-awaited trailer.

Along with the announcement, the team also unveiled a brand-new poster that continues the film's signature strategy of revealing very little while building maximum intrigue.

The trailer of ‘Toxic’ will be released on August 8, 2026, giving fans their first proper look into the mysterious world created by filmmaker Geetu Mohandas.

The announcement comes with a new poster featuring the silhouette of Yash's character, Raya, standing with a Tommy gun in hand. While the image hints at the film's gritty and larger-than-life setting, it avoids revealing any major plot details, staying true to the film's mystery promotional campaign.

Interestingly, the trailer launch will take place in Bengaluru, making it a fitting start to the film's promotional tour in the home state of both Yash and producer KVN Productions. The date also carries special significance, as August 8 marks exactly two years since ‘Toxic’ went on floors, making the trailer launch a symbolic milestone for the team.

Ever since the project was announced, every teaser, poster and promotional asset has brought in conversations online without giving away much about the story.

Instead of relying on conventional reveals, the makers have built anticipation through cryptic visuals and imagery, encouraging fans to speculate about the film's narrative and Yash's enigmatic character.

With the trailer now just days away, audiences are expected to finally get a clearer look at the film's universe, its characters and the scale of the story that has remained under wraps.

Directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Geetu Mohandas, ‘Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups’ features an ensemble cast including Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Tara Sutaria, Rukmini Vasanth and Huma Qureshi in pivotal roles alongside Yash.

The ambitious project has been shot simultaneously in Kannada and English and will also be released in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam, underscoring its pan-Indian and international appeal. Produced by KVN Productions in association with Monster Mind Creations, ‘Toxic’ is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on August 26, 2026.
