Torch strapped to forehead, blood streaking across face: Trailer of ‘Rachel’ starring Honey Rose to drop soon
The trailer of "Rachel," featuring Honey Rose in one of the most distinct roles of her two-decade-long career, will be released today at 6PM. The trailer announcement poster, unveiled on Friday, presents Honey Rose in a gripping look. She appears with a torch strapped to her forehead and blood streaked across her face and hands. The film is slated for a Christmas release, arriving in cinemas in five languages on December 6. Directed by debut filmmaker Anandini Bala, "Rachel" is co-written and co-produced by acclaimed Malayalam filmmaker Abrid Shine.
The first-look posters, which featured Honey Rose at a cattle market, had already garnered significant attention, followed by an equally well-received teaser. Early indications suggest that "Rachel" will deliver a raw, violent, and blood-soaked cinematic experience unlike anything seen before. Alongside Malayalam, the film will be released in Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi.
Joining Honey Rose in pivotal roles are Baburaj, Roshan Basheer, Chandu Salimkumar, Radhika Radhakrishnan, Jaffer Idukki, Vineeth Thattil, Joji, Dinesh Prabhakar, Pauly Valsan, and Vanditha Manoharan, forming an impressive ensemble. The film is understood to be mounted as a revenge thriller.
Produced under the banner of Badusha's Silver Screen Entertainment by Manju Badusha, Shahul Hameed, and Rajan Chirayil, the story is written by Rahul Manappat, with the screenplay by Rahul Manappat and Abrid Shine.
