Tom Holland suffers concussion on ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ set, shooting paused

Hollywood star Tom Holland sustained an injury while filming his upcoming Marvel movie, ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’, in Glasgow.
Reports indicate that Holland suffered a mild concussion following a stunt accident on the sets. He was immediately taken to hospital for treatment. The shooting has been suspended in the aftermath of the incident and is expected to remain on hold for a few days.
The report added that the injury occurred after a stunt went wrong, but no one else was affected. Holland is currently on a precautionary break, and a meeting will be scheduled to adjust filming plans.
Production forSpider-Man: Brand New Da began in Glasgow in early August, and the movie is scheduled to release in July 2026.
What’s New About the Spider-Man Suit?
The makers recently revealed a new Spider-Man suit, featuring a bright red-and-blue design with raised black webbing. Shortly after, Holland shared a closer look at his costume, captioning a teaser video, "We ready?"
In the video, Holland appears on set wearing a more classic Spider-Man ensemble, reminiscent of the suits seen in Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield’s films.
Alongside Holland, the returning cast includes Zendaya and Jaco Batalon. The film will also introduce new actors such as Liza Colon-Zayas, Tramell Tillman, and Sadie Sink.
In addition, Mark Ruffalo reprises his role as the Hulk, joined by Jon Bernthal as the Punisher and Michael Mando as the Scorpion.
Unlike previous Spider-Man movies directed by Jon Watts, this instalment is being helmed by Destin Daniel Cretton, known for Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.
Although he has temporarily stepped back from filming, Holland was recently seen making headlines with Zendaya. The couple attended an event in London, marking a rare public appearance together.
