Hollywood’s action icon Tom Cruise continues to captivate Indian audiences with his latest film, Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, which is running to packed theatres across the country. The eighth instalment in the blockbuster franchise features Cruise in peak form, with audiences praising his performance as “mesmerising.” His heartfelt gesture of speaking in Hindi during promotions has only deepened his connection with fans in India.
During a chat with actress Avneet Kaur, the star can be seen addressing the audience in Hindi.
Cruise said, “Main aap sabse bahut pyaar karta hoon” (I love you all very much). He further revealed his affection for India and Bollywood. “I feel so much love for India. Amazing country, amazing people, amazing culture”, he said.
Recalling his past visit to India, Cruise shared: “The whole memory for me has been etched in my memory. Every single moment, from the moment I landed, to go to the Taj Mahal, to spend time in Mumbai, with Anil and all the people at the night of the premiere, I remember every moment quite vividly”.
The Hollywood star also praised Bollywood films, saying, “I love Bollywood films. I love that you’re in the drama, comedy, and suddenly, it breaks out in a song — I love it. It’s something that I grew up with. I love musicals, I love dramas — your culture in that way — I would like to be in. It’s on my list of kinds of films to make.”
Speaking about Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, Cruise said, “When you look at Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, I love travelling and I love working in different cultures”.
The Final Reckoning is packed with high-octane action scenes, much like the earlier films in the Mission: Impossible series. The first film was released in 1996, and each of the subsequent seven films has been met with enthusiastic support from fans worldwide.
