Malayalam cinema’s beloved actor Bhavana has long held a special place in the hearts of audiences. Known for memorable performances in several films across South Indian languages, Bhavana is a name to reckon with in the entertainment landscape. After a hiatus from films, the actor is now back in the spotlight and has recently opened up about her friendships, private nature, and the rumours that often surround her.

In a candid interview, Bhavana shared insights into her circle of close friends and how she handles personal challenges.

“I have a few good friends — Shilpa, Sayonara, Ramya, Manju chechi, Samyuktha chechi, Mridula, and Geetu chechi. Even if we don’t speak often, I know they’re always there for me, and they know I’ll be there for them too,” she said. “But when something troubles me, I don’t call anyone. I tend to withdraw rather than talk about it. My friends often check in, asking if I’m okay. Now they understand how I am.”

Reflecting on how she has changed over time, Bhavana added:

“I don’t even remember if I was always like this or if I’ve become this way over the years. Sometimes I’m not available on WhatsApp or I’m completely unreachable. Once I’m through a difficult phase, I might talk about it. Initially, I had a private social media account, but there used to be so many fake stories — like people claiming I was divorced and such. It was actually my friends who encouraged me to start an official Instagram account to clarify the truth.”

Speaking about her social media presence, the actor said she remains unpredictable:

“At times, I’m extremely active online; at other times, I disappear completely. I do check the comments occasionally,” she laughed.

Bhavana’s reflections paint the picture of a woman who values deep, genuine relationships but also cherishes her privacy — a balance not easily maintained in the world of constant public scrutiny. (With inputs from Agencies)
