The Mohanlal-led film Thudarum continues its victorious march at the box office, setting new records and receiving acclaim from audiences, critics, and members of the film industry alike.

In a heartwarming gesture, leading Tamil actors Suriya and Karthi invited director Tharun Moorthy to their home to personally congratulate him on the film's success. Tharun shared the news on social media, stating that he met the stars along with his family. He also posted photographs taken with Suriya, Jyothika, and Karthi, expressing his gratitude for their affection and encouragement.

Tharun remarked in his post that the admiration and respect shown by the three stars towards Thudarum and Mohanlal was deeply moving. He captioned one of the photos, shared with Karthi, under the heading "Thudarum wave in Kollywood too," noting that the film is connecting fanboys across different states.

“Thank you for the invitation, and for your affection and support for Malayalam cinema and Lal Sir,” Tharun wrote. “It’s an emotion — one with many definitions. That emotion is Mohanlal.”

Thudarum is continuing its theatrical run with strong collections, rewriting box office records. In Kerala alone, the film has grossed over ₹100 crore, and globally it has surpassed ₹200 crore.

The screenplay of Thudarum was co-written by Tharun Moorthy and K.R. Sunil. Veteran actor Shobana plays the female lead, with a strong supporting cast including Farhaan Faasil, Prakash Varma, Binu Pappu, Maniyanpilla Raju, Irshad, Thomas Mathew, Aarsha Baiju, Amritha Varshini and Arjun Ashokan. The film’s music is composed by Jakes Bejoy.
