Spider-Man: Brand New Day villain lineup revealed — fans didn’t see this coming

After months of intense speculation, the villains of Spider-Man: Brand New Day have finally been revealed—leaving fans both surprised and intrigued.
The upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) film will see Tom Holland return as Peter Parker, this time going up against a new set of adversaries.
Michael Mando is officially reprising his role as Mac Gargan, better known to fans as Scorpion, marking his first full appearance in costume since being teased in Spider-Man: Homecoming nearly a decade ago. But he won’t be the only villain this time.
Recent set photos from Glasgow confirm the presence of the Inner Demons gang, indicating the involvement of Mister Negative—another street-level antagonist from the comics. This villain, known for his dual identity as Martin Li, is often portrayed as a powerful crime lord with supernatural abilities.
According to reliable industry insider Alex Perez, Brand New Day will feature at least three major villains. While the third has not yet been identified, possibilities include Tombstone, Silvermane, Boomerang, or even the Kingpin, who recently became Mayor of New York in Daredevil: Born Again.
Supporting the theory of an escalating gang war in New York, Jon Bernthal’s Punisher is also confirmed to appear, as is Mark Ruffalo’s Bruce Banner/Hulk—teaming up with Spider-Man for the first time in the MCU. With these powerful characters joining forces, the stakes are higher than ever.
Though Marvel has had mixed success with multi-villain Spider-Man stories in the past (Spider-Man 3, The Amazing Spider-Man 2), fans remain optimistic. Both Homecoming and No Way Home proved that, under the right direction, a crowded rogues' gallery can work brilliantly.
Set for a July 2026 release, Spider-Man: Brand New Day promises a gritty, action-packed chapter in the web-slinger’s journey—one that could redefine the street-level corner of the MCU.
Amid his return as Spider-Man in Brand New Day, Tom Holland has also sparked renewed speculation about stepping into another iconic role—that of James Bond. While producers of the Bond franchise have yet to confirm any casting decisions following Daniel Craig’s departure, Holland’s name continues to trend among fan wishlists. His previous pitch for a young Bond origin story and his proven action credentials have kept him in the conversation, though no official talks have been reported.
